Joe Willey

Corporate Communications

Joe has been part of the Earth Data team since the end of 2018. He communicates the capabilities and values of Earth Data through the web and social media.

After graduation from the Maryland Institute, College of Art with a degree in Visual Communications, Joe began his career as a graphic designer specializing in magazine design. His design work led to his becoming art director for a non-profit organization on the lower Eastern Shore.

In 2015, he moved to Florida to take the role of Communications Director for a multi-campus church in the Orlando area. Although he and his family enjoyed Florida, they looked for an opportunity to move back to Maryland to be closer to family.

Joe is also an illustrator and enjoys painting the terrain of Maryland and the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. He and his wife have four boys and they spend their free time outside.
