Earth Data Welcomes Avery Dunn

Earth Data is pleased to announce that environmental scientist Avery Dunn recently joined its dedicated team of water resource engineers, hydrogeologists, geologists, soil scientists, GIS/LiDAR specialists, licensed well drillers, and field technicians.

Avery is originally from the Philadelphia area. Her love of being outdoors was nurtured by spending time fishing with her father on the Delaware River and the Delaware Canal. During high school, her love of math, science, and physics commingled with her love of nature.

Her freshman year at Penn State University was spent considering her options. Love of the outdoors gave a focus to her search for a major. She chose a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management because it provided an outlet for her interests and offered her a variety of areas in which she could specialize. Because of the breadth of her major, she also pursued two additional minors.  One is in Watershed and Water Resources and the other is in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. She is also a certified Nutrient Management Planner in both Maryland and Delaware. All are a perfect fit for Earth Data’s environmental consulting skillset.

During her time at Penn State University, she studied watersheds, especially the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, in which State College, Pennsylvania resides. So, Avery was familiar with the Delmarva Peninsula before she began an internship with Delaware State Parks as a park planner and GIS technician. She then spent five years with a company that dealt with in the highly-regulated biosolids and residual solution industry. Since her territory was the Eastern Shore and Delaware, she is used to fieldwork across the Delmarva Peninsula.

Avery is excited about her role at Earth Data where she will provide the quality environmental consulting our clients have come to expect.
